On Wednesday Barcelona did the unthinkable, proving all doubters wrong: they made the most iconic Champions League comeback in history.
Barcelona suffered a crushing 4-0 loss to Paris SG during the first game in their Round of 16 match-up. It seemed almost a sure thing that Paris SG would be moving on. After all, Barcelona would not only have to beat Paris in the second game, but also overcome a 4 goal deficit to move on.
The odds seemed even lower, when in the second half of the second game, Edinson Cavani scored a goal for Paris. Barcelona was still in the lead of the match, 3-1, however they would need 3 more goals to outscore their opponents and time was running out.
In the last 7 minutes of the game Barcelona showed the world precisely what they are capable of and scored not once, not twice, but three times. Star player of Barcelona, Neymar, scored two of those goals in the 88th and 90th minute of the game. However, it was Sergi Roberto who scored a Hail Mary goal in the final minute of the game that left fans around the world in shock. Barcelona outscored France 6-5 in the two games and are moving onto the quarterfinals.
