SANTA MONICA – After a grueling season, the time has finally come: the NWSL championship game is here. The two top teams in the NWSL will play for the chance to be named the number one team in the league.  Tomorrow, the Portland Thorns, who crushed Orlando Pride 4-1 in their semi-final match on Saturday, will face off against North Carolina Courage, who beat the Chicago Red Stars 1-0 in their semi-final game on Sunday.

Both teams are filled with talented players and have had amazing seasons, but who will win it all?  Well, North Carolina Courage and the Portland Thorns have both had very different journeys to become the top two teams in the league.

North Carolina Courage has has a controlled and steady burn to the top.  They have consistently been the number one team in the NWSL for almost the entire season.  The Portland Thorns on the other hand, had a little bit of a bumpy start to their season.  However, they soon found their groove in July and have been a dominating force in the league since.  They will also have Tobin Heath, who has been gone most of the season and only returned for the last few games, as an extra boost to help them.  It will be a hard fought game for both sides.

If you want to watch the action live, kickoff will be at 1:30 Pacific Time at the Orlando City Stadium and will air on Lifetime.  You can also watch live online at MyLifetime.com
